OUR BACKGROUND:
NYIKOS ASSOCIATES, INC. is an independent professional Design/Consulting Firm specializing in Commercial Foodservice and Laundry Facilities Planning for the hospitality and institutional industries. Founded in 1988, we have quickly grown to become one of the areas premier consulting organizations focused on providing excellence in commercial facilities design.
Co-Author of the: “Maryland State Department of Education School Food and Nutrition Design Manual” January 1995.

OUR TEAM:
- Robert M. Nyikos
 Robert Nyikos, principal and founder of NYIKOS ASSOCIATES, INC., graduated from Purdue University with degrees in Architecture and Construction Management. Throughout high school and college he worked in the school’s cafeteria and held part-time positions with various fast-food operations. Following five years working in an architectural firm, he held major positions with Thomas Ricca Associates and Cini-little International. With thirty-plus years experience covering all types of institutional and hospitality foodservice design, Mr. Nyikos has been in charge of over 800 various projects with foodservice requirements. He has a thorough knowledge of the highly technical intricacies inherent to commercial foodservice equipment systems and provides innovative solutions to commercial kitchen design challenges. Mr. Nyikos is a Professional Member of the Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI).
- David Overbaugh
David Overabugh has been an Associated Consultant for NYIKOS ASSOCIATES, INC. since 1988. He holds a Hotel Administration degree from Cornell University and Graduate Studies from Florida International University-Miami in Hotel and Food Service Management. In the past Dave has been Executive Vice President for MDR Associates and Principal for DO Associates. He is a member of the Cornell Society of Hotelmen.
- Jay E. Garcia
 Jay Garcia graduated from Adamson University in Manila, Philippines with a degree in Architecture. He began his career with G.V. Manzano & Associates in Lucena City, Philippines as an Associate. From 1988 to 1994 he worked as a Project Coordinator for Isakesen Foodservice Strategies. In 1994 he joined NYIKOS ASSOCIATES, INC. and serves as Project Manager. Mr. Garcia is an Associate Member of the Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI).
- Patty Nyikos
 Patty Nyikos graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a degree in History and a minor in Psychology. She joined NYIKOS ASSOCIATES, INC. in 2004 as Office Manager. Prior to joining the firm she was with Nova Blue Reprographics for 5 years as Vice President specializing in sales of architectural supplies and printing services. From 1984 through 1998 she was with Ridgway’s, Inc. She began in their Austin, Texas office then transferred to their east coast offices managing their reprographic centers in Bethesda, Maryland and Fairfax, Virginia.
- Annie A. Gagolinan
Annie graduated from M.S. Enverga University in Lucena City, Philippines with a degree in Civil Engineering. She began her career as a Civil Engineer with the Toyo Construction Company in Makati City, Philippine in 1989 where she worked until 2007. In 1996 she was promoted to Assistant Manager of the Construction & Engineering Department, Procurement Section. In 2004, she advanced to Assistant Manager of the Construction & Engineering Department, Project Promotion Section. In 2007 she joined Nyikos Associates, Inc. staff as Project Coordinator.
